endyn 10psi stepper pulley

Is the endyn stepper pulley application specific? I received one used with my used (gsr) jr kit but I am wondering if it will be okay for b16'?

Sort of... it actually doesn't fit ANY application properly.

The GSR and B16A applications are actually similiar... that is unless you have a JDM engine... in which case the alternator shaft may be smaller in diameter than the hole in the middle of the stepper pulley. Pay close attention to the number of turns you get when threading the large nut onto the alternator shaft... usually, the ENDYN pulleys require that one machines off a bit of the front surface that the alternator nut makes contact with in order to safely engage enough threads on the alternator shaft.

I am probally one of hte few people that had a fully ported Endyn JRSC with not only the stepper pully but also a smaller one on the snout. Had 2 setups. One for 10psi and the other for 15psi.

Luckily mine never required any additional work and was a direct bolt on. Most likely from all the things I have read over the years I am one of the few lucky ones that had no problems.

I bought one for my own car back in 2000... and at the time that I installed it, I thought it fit FINE as well. It wasn't until 2001 that I had to remove it and realized that the mounting depth was way too tall... and since the shaft nut only grabbed about a turn and a half... the threads were damaged... specifically, distorted and pulled away from the top of the shaft !!! I shared my experience with others only to find out that I was not alone... and the pulleys fit poorly in many cases. This problem, along with a few other factors, spawned the design and construction of my own line of pulleys... which fit PERFECTLY for everyone !!! So, I guess in a way, I have Larry at ENDYN to thank for this. Creating this simple product has been quite rewarding. I find great pleasure in helping others create additional HP with the MVM pulley designs. The level of commitment that I have shown here will continue in many new products to come.
